🤔 How Do We Get Our On-Site Videos Indexed by Google, Bing, and Yandex?
Currently, for a truly successful self-hosted media platform, video indexing is the next frontier. We need to ensure that videos hosted directly on our Chevereto instances get indexed and qualify for Video Rich Snippets (the search results that show a thumbnail, duration, etc.).❓ My Questions to the Chevereto Team & Community:
- Does Chevereto v4 automatically include the necessary VideoObject Schema Markup (preferably JSON-LD) on video view pages? If not, what is the best recommended method for users to manually implement this now?
- Are there any plans on the Chevereto roadmap to implement a dedicated Video Sitemap generation feature? This would be a game-changer for sites with large amounts of video content, as it's the most robust way to guarantee discovery and indexing by Google, Bing, and Yandex.
