Remove the www version of the site

How can I remove the www version of the site?

I know it's .htaccess modification, but which one is the recommended one and which line is the best to put it in .htaccess ?

I also want to know how to remove www version in my arvixe cpenal account because www has bug for image zoom in/out in my site, i know it was fixed in chevereto 3.6.1 but my site still has this problem. Currently i am diverting all www traffic to my root domain using .htaccess file

I used the 3 lines above and I still can access www version of my site.

There were no cache involved in this accident.

You should ask your hosting company. They know better which htaccess code works better in their servers.
