I'm sorry but I vote no, because I personally believe almost no one would go to an image host to read gags. If someone did want to create a meme, they would never go to an image host. It's just insignificant. However, to see this as a plugin available separately would be good.

It's not just that. It's a waste of resources to have useless features that are purely vanity. This should be a plugin. NEVER apart of the main software set!

Vernacular regions do not have a platform to create memes, and I wish to use Chevereto as a meme/gif sharing platform. If not in core software, a plugin would be welcome.

i honestly think it should since there are different types of images sites. porn, meme's, gamer, raw photo, etc
it would truly make this software the most veristal one on the market and would bring Rodolfo more customers
Although I probably would not use it myself I think it would be a great addition as I see the potential and it would be great for my other members to use.
The forum I run holds a once a month caption competitions and virtually all competitors who enter use photoshop or another image editing software to add text and I'm sure if I had this it would increase participation from those who don't have image editing software, so it would be great for communities that use and need something like this.
As I mentioned before in another topic, there are different people wanting a script for different uses other than using it as a gallery, I don't know if you have ever thought about it Rodolfo but maybe having two available scripts could be the answer, that way it would give you an insight into whether or not an image script with a meme generator as standard sells well and whether further development to it is worthwhile, at the same time keeping a script without a meme generator for those who would never want it.
As I see it your script and your dedication to improvement and updating it to what users require is a great selling point and a choice would no doubt boost the demand.
At the end of the day if it is added to what we have now you have to do that extra work and you still have only one script that may be a bit over the top for many with all it's features that may not be wanted where keeping the current script as it is and introducing a new one with a meme generator gives the users the choice of which they want and in theory no extra work has been done and everyone is happy....just a thought.

I really feel we're getting into the 'mod' territory where things like this need to be in a package someone can simply install as a bonus. We're moving far away from core critical components and more niche. This is a bit worrying.
Why is it worrying ?
It's called progress and that is what has happened to this script over the years by Rodolfo listening to what his users want in the script, it is why it is popular and as we can see there are users who want this meme generator and users who don't so who is to say it's needed or not needed as there are a mix of both.
Just look at the progression of this script over the years, from what I have seen it started as an image uploader but progressed into an image uploader/gallery, you yourself admit to using yours as a gallery/portfolio where others don't use those options and just want codes for posting elsewhere as I do on a forum, but whatever way it is used there are things in the dashboard many won't want.
I can't see why, to me and probably many others having a choice of script is the way forward, Rodolfo has about fulfilled everything possible in making the best script out there so at some point if things keep getting added it will be too confusing with all the additions, options and choices that need making from the dashboard so it makes sense to me for him to consider thinking about doing different variations of the script.
Making something with a list of things people don't need or use which can confuse the purchaser can only get it bad reviews, we have already established there are needs for this and that by some but not by others so if Rodolfo were to add a meme generator to what we already have and release it as a separate version there would be a percentage go for that version and a percentage go for the untouched version where if it's added into one version everyone is stuck with it whether they want it or not.
@ Rodolfo...as usual I am only thinking logically and i'm not saying what you should or shouldn't do but I have now got an interest in this script and my thoughts are just that.
