I am not able to update.

I have a Pro license, and I am getting a notification saying there is a newer version available (4.2), but when I go to the dashboard it says I have the latest version. I checked my account and it says my license is active, but there is no button for 4.2. However, if I manually type in the 4.2 url, the zip file downloads. How can I get the dashboard update button to work? Thank you.

Chevereto is fully portable—just back up your uploads folder and reconfigure the database. However, any database consistency issues can’t be solved by simply reconnecting it; they may need some manual adjustments.

The reason is that while the software is designed with a standard database configuration in mind, real-world databases are often set up in ways that can vary greatly. This flexibility makes it difficult to predict every possible setup. It’s not just about the database version—there’s a lot of variability, and it often requires a bit of fine-tuning to adapt the system smoothly.

My site dead 🙁
Earlier, when I tried to update, it told me that my PHP version was outdated. I updated PHP. After that, it started showing 'Something Wrong.' I tried updating the engine through the CLI. It seems to have successfully updated it. Writing in the console:
Code:
      __                        __

And then I used 'app/bin/legacy -C update'.

Now it tells me that the server is running PHP version 8.1.2 and needs to be updated. But I have the new PHP version installed. What should I do now? Please advise.

After some time struggling, I managed to get the error 'Something went wrong.' But unfortunately, I don't know what to do next.

When you install php on a server. It may install the version you need but you need to check the htaccess, php.ini or the virtual hosts file.

Sometimes those files tell the software to use a different php version than what you installed on the server.

In cpanel it usually allows you to chose different php versions based on the website. Without cpanel you need to check all those files i mentioned depending on your setup.

Check your CHEVERETO_ERROR_LOG for error logs. Also, check the error logs for Apache and Nginx.

You can test your PHP setup by creating an info.php file with the following code:
Code:
<?php
phpinfo();
?>

Save this file and access it in your browser to view PHP configuration details.
