Guest Uploads allowed to create albums

*️⃣ Must open one ticket per issue. If you are experiencing multiple issues don't hesitate to create multiple tickets for each issue.

▶ Reproduction steps
  1. When a guest uploads, they are asked if they want to create an album.
  2. If no album is created - moderation is normal and images go to the moderators unfiled images to be transferred to existing albums.
  3. If they create an album, the moderator cannot transfer them out of that album.
😢 Unexpected result
Moderated Guest Upload images cannot be added to existing albums "owned" by the moderator if the guest "creates" an album.
Expect: Guests cannot create albums
Expect: Moderator takes ownership of guest uploads.

There's no content transfer functionality yet in Chevereto. In other words, you can't move content from one user to another.

Regarding limiting guest album creation, that will be added in v4.2.0.

Thanks. I decided to turn off Guest Uploads. Instead, I turned on registration for now. That way they can add more images to the same album, make new albums, add comments.

Until now, all albums were attached to one user. I just have to adjust my expectations.

The other issue with guest uploads is that I may not know who uploaded them, when the photos were taken (year, event). Perhaps one day you can require an email address for guest uploads instead of registering. Opening registration was the best workaround.

Be blessed,

Steve
