Error when '@' character is used in search

▶ Reproduction steps
  1. In global search enter any string with @. eg. email
  2. Press enter or click on search icon to search.
😢 Unexpected result

You'll get a blue screen without any error message. However, in the server log, I can see the error as below.

Error: SQLSTATE[42000]: Syntax error or access violation: 1064 syntax error, unexpected '@', expecting $end (42000)
