As you may imagine, that description is also used to populate meta description.

Work on v4.2.0 has been ongoing for over three months since July, with more than 100 issues addressed.

This is shaping up to be Chevereto’s biggest and best release yet. The next step is thorough testing, followed by refining based on community feedback. The release is planned for availability before October 15.

PSA If you don’t have an active Chevereto license now is a great time to purchase one, as subscription prices will see a slight increase after the launch.

Added "Go up" button for sub-albums

Chevereto v4.2.0 adds a button that enables to quickly jump to the parent album (if any) of the current album.

The button is an arrow pointing up, on hovering it shows the parent album name. The button is privacy aware, if the parent album is private and the user doesn't have permission the button won't be shown.

When you "jump up" you land at /album/id/sub, like this:

I've also changed the icon as the previous one was totally wrong.

This improvement helps preserve the integrity of the album organization, preventing potential confusion or errors in media management.

Added HTML encoding for growl alerts

In Chevereto v4.2.0, growl alerts have been enhanced with built-in HTML encoding. This improvement prevents unsafe HTML parsing when displaying error messages, ensuring that alerts are secure and that potentially harmful HTML content is properly sanitized before being shown to users.
