Excuse me if this has already been possible, but is there any way to also upload/host video and/or audio? Thank you!

Support for extended media types will start rolling in V4.1 👉 https://chevereto.com/community/threads/chevereto-v4-1-supremo-announcement.13221/

Is there any V4.0 DEMO?
No, there's no online demo for V4.0 at this time. You can follow these instructions to try it out 👉 https://v4-docs.chevereto.com/get-started/installation.html

I don't have a V4_LICENSE_KEY,I hope to provide a V4 demo. I just received an email asking me to upgrade the license, but I still don't know what it looks like. I can’t pay for something I don’t know what it looks like, right?

The V4.0 upgrade is a system codebase upgrade which aims to turn Chevereto into a headless CMS. V4.0 looks same as V3.20 but the code and quality standards are different.

If you are driven by front-end changes you won't find any value on it at this time. Note that the current upgrade offer and its low price is for those willing to support our work.

In your case, I suggest you to consider getting a new V4 license in mid 2022 or later.

What's changed from 3.20?
To put it in clear terms, all the application source code changed. Every single file and each line as been modified in favor of strict coding standards and static types. Below you will find a comparison of just one file changes:

As it may be hard to realize the size of the changes, here's a code comparison summary:

The huge change is in the PHP code which is the application code used by Chevereto. This comparison includes the code provided by chevere/chevere.

These changes are just the beginning, V4.0.0.beta.1 is just a small dev preview of all the changes that will be rolling during the following weeks.

If I just want to update v3 to v4, do I need Lite edition or no?
The lite package (~5MB) is the same as the normal package but without third-party dependencies. This [lite] package is used when you want to run composer update on your own rather than using the pre-cached dependencies. If you don't know what this means stick to the normal package.

I using V3.20, I paid V4 lic, How to upgrade ?

At this time I'm not recommending updating from V3 to V4 as current V4.0 status is beta. You may try/test V4.0 beta on new installation following these instructions. Update from V3 to V4 should be available later this year.

I hope that later when I am using v3 I can automatically update to v4 through the update function like the versions of v3

I have 1 question.
Right now I am having V3 Network License. If I upgrade now, will I still have V3 version active or V3 will be removed? I don't want to remove V3 Network license as V4 don't have any network license. OR V4 will be as a separate license so I can use both V3 & V4 version without any issues.

Your v3 license will stay intact. v3 and v4 license are separate. As long as you're using v3 code, your network license will work.
But if you switch to v4, you'll have buy separate license for each domain. There is no network license for v4 in favor of better support for future development of chevereto moving forward.

Got it. So, after upgrade I can use both V3 & V4. 👍
