change color of background and all fonts

hi i want to make my own dark mode but abit lighter #293039 (the dark mode rn is pretty black) but when i change it the header does not aswell
and fonts are black so it looks terrible

how can i make it so its like dark mode where it changes the background and header and makes all the fonts white but with my hex code thanks

Use the web browser inspector to detect the applicable CSS rules, otherwise you aren't addressing the actual properties declared in the css file.

Once you get the applicable rules your changes should be reflected immediately.
