File naming method

imghut

💖 Chevereto Fan
▶ Reproduction steps
  1. Set File naming method to "Original"
  2. Upload file

😢 Unexpected result

Uploaded file name is mix original + random
Random and mix original + random work as expected, just original seems to mix as well

Any ideas? It's definitely set right 🙂

I'm not surprised, I reported other bugs with v3.20.x that where originally ignored and have now been fixed without any mention.

Rodolfo, please look in to this, it's there 😉

I can confirm this issue, it happens to me as well. In the direct image URL, it is having both original + random when the naming is set as original. I believe that is how it works. Because if two people upload the same file name then how it will differentiate the same file?

The similarity is that you also have the storing method as the date and also myself also tested with storing method as a date. And the demo is directly storing.

So original is not using original name in the direct URL, it is adding Original + Random

Update: Please do add the option Original+ID and so we can have the same file name just by adding image ID.

Tested both storage methods and it works in both cases for me (direct, datefolders). I'm sorry, but I don't know how to trigger the bug you mention, try by providing context as I always ask. Is this external storage dependant? Which other settings are enabled? That's the kind of stuff we need to know, otherwise how we know?

Some other info

1) Storage methods: FTP
2) Moderate Content API: Enabled
3) Upload user interface: /upload route

I am not sure what others are used when uploading. I believe moderate content API may be the cause, just a wild guess.
