Viewing an image page for an image in an album at a resolution higher than 1000px width will squish the thumbnails.

▶🚶‍Reproduction steps
  1. Add an image to an album
  2. Go to that image's page
  3. View thumbnails at a width higher than 1000px
  4. Note that they have been squished into the 1:1 aspect ratio.
(Possibly another side effect of using 300x200 for thumbnails?)

By design. You are changing window size, the system moves stuff for responsive.
