Uploading issue

Hello, I think I've gotten this problem before, I've just tried uploading the newest version on, I tried runing install.php but it was just a blank page.

I deleted it from my server, and tried to access my site, but it's still a blank page.

I'm not sure why this is the case, I've followed the guide properly, but nothing is right.
 
Add this to the top of your .htaccess root file:

Okay, I just added that and now my website is showing.
Will this problem be fixed if I update again?

And how do I change to the dark theme, as when I go to Dashboard>Theme> Tone> Dark, and click save, it's still the light version.
 
You always need to run /install.php when updating from version to version. Also, you should never overwrite the .htaccess file.
