Hi guys, im using 2.0 atm. i've got about 12k pics all together so i need to know if i need to run update.php or can i just replace all files. thanks in advance

If you read the instructions, you'll know what to do.

You have to replace the files and run update.php

Don't replace the files if you are using custom theme. + Try the demo first and see if you like it, because i disliked it really much, as it use date folders, even in the url =( , however, if you are using custom mods, or theme, you should wait untill they have the 2.1 update too 😀

im using custom theme and already replace all files but without runing update.php. if i use update.php all files will change from images/pics.jpg to images/old which i dont wanna. so is there any way to keep old pictures in the same directory ?

The images will be moved but the old urls will still work. The move to /old is because in that way the new filesystem can tell where is that file. All the old url, image embeds, viewers, etc will be preserved and you will be able to manage this old files on the filemanager.

Yes, if you change the htaccess file when you are asked to.
(after using update.php successfully)
