I always used thumbnails of 180 x 210 px. Now the script calculates height automatically and the thumbnails are set to 180 x 180. That's with medium size = 500.

I really do not like square thumbs; square thumbs are NOT usual. I found a work around by setting them to 180 x 210 and not saving the changes. Now the thumbs are 180 x 210 and they work, but the images where not visible in the script in "Explore". Only a blank image is shown. I can however publish them in a forum.

If I click on the "Save Changes" button they are re-calculated to 180 x 180. But as soon as I log-out as an admin the're set back to 180 x 210?

Nope, is just a form display issue. The actual value is still the original input.
