TestMail doesn't actually send anything

Seems that Test mail functionality isn't actually sending a test mail.
SMTP is properly configured and I can see that I have successful connection to the SMTP server. I have tried to connect via telnet too and send a message from server and it was also successful.
Also, when new user registers the new account activation email is being delivered to the end user.
Test mail never thrown any error or so- Let me know if you need any more data regarding the issue. Seems that everything is fine but the testing doesn't do its job.

I checked this on the demo and it worked as expected. Can you share more details about your setup?
