Description of the issue
Hello,

I just brought the script and I want to use it on several domains.

Before I decide on which one to install it first, I want to know if I can somehow diferentiare the upload privileges to some users.
For example, I want all users to upload for free certain numbers of pictures ( let’s say 3 ) but then if they want more, they will have to pay for that privilege. I understand that the script doesn’t handle any type of payments and that’s fine, but is there any way to set this up to work like that and then I will handle the payment side with a different script?

Let me know please, I would appreciate it very much.

Thank you

A bit disappointing the support here guys...I was asking such a simple question and no response for almost 48 hours...It's my first request guys, so I was hoping for a quick response but hey, i get it, i am not the only one who needs support here, so it is not a problem... 🙂

Anyway, is there anybody here to be able to respond?

All i want to know is if i can set up the script to allow certain users to allow uploading a certain number of images depending on the packages I am going to set using another script? Since I will have a separated script for handling the payments, I don't mind if i manually have to add and set those users, all i want to know if the script is allowing me to to that in the back end.

So for example:
As a default all users can upload 3 images
User A can upload 10 images
User B can upload 20 images

...let me know please

I would appreciate it very much,

Thank you

There's no packages or user groups to fulfill your request.

Please keep in mind that Tech Support is for script issues, not to ask about missing features or possible implementations. At this time new request are closed until further notice.

I understand,

So there is nothing that can be done using the script features to limit the number of pictures or to reduce the space a user have available for upload?

Am i right?

If you ask for a way then the answer is yes but it won't be easy by any means. I'm talking about direct code editing and stuff like that. I don't see that alternative feasible for anybody, you need to know programming and on top of that get on my old code which simple but without a plugin structure.

"I don't see that alternative feasible for anybody"

Why not? Why not to have the option to limit user upload? Like this, the users can upload unlimited pictures and can quickly fill up your hosting space in no time...so why not to have this feature...other scripts has it...It would not only help site owner to monetize the site and avoid advertising but it would also prevent hosting escalating costs...well that is my opinion i may be wrong though...

One another question though...can i then keep the image unapproved? So for example, once a user has uploaded a certain number of images, all other images they will upload after that, to be moderated ( keep them unapproved or delete them ) by the admin?

Like that at least i have some control over how much users upload on the site? is that possible?

I was referring to the "way" not to the functionality itself. I don't have any opinion on the functionality and as I said before, request are closed because I need a little piece of mind before the V4 announcement.

No, you can't. There's no such functionality.

The system does what is listed here: https://chevereto.com/features (anything else is not included).

While I appreciate your suggestions, at this time I'm not reviewing any suggestion. I'm preparing a big announcement and v3.10.6 so please be patient.

Thank you sir,

But wait then this is wrong...So you mean admin can't even delete a picture after that has been uploaded on the site?

I mean that is the basic simple control of the admin, so if the admin can't do that on the back end then what kind of control is that?

I mean users can upload any image and that will be it? Admin can't take it down? Do i get this wrong? Or this is the way the script work? Let me know please...

Oh and yes i can't wait for the new version 🙂

Thank you

Admin can delete everything and control everything. I don't know which one of my words make you think that admin can't manage everything. You asked about upload moderation "can i then keep the image unapproved?" and I answered about that.

No actual issue here so I will close this topic.

P.S. If you have another questions feel free to ask in a different section as this forum is used only for tech support.
