hi rodolfo,

i think i found a bug in the latest version (3.10.5) ...

require email confirmation is disabled. when a user tries to create an account he gets redirected to /account/awaiting-confirmation. also the account doesn't get created.

strange thing is, i have an older installation (3.9.5) with the same settings on the same server and that feature works fine.

can anybody confirm this too?

best regards
vortex

I'm unable to replicate this so no, is not actually a bug.

Most likely your issue is due to session conflict (like when you uninstall then re-install, the session var is the same so the system gets dizzy). To be honest, it happens to me all the time when I'm doing dev.

When it happens to me (development) is when I do something like install/uninstall without getting rid of the session cookie. it gets fixed easily by getting rid of the old cookie in your browser console.

Maybe for a clean install, I should remove any session or cookie before doing the account setup process.
