Photos disappear from albums when you change the sorting type

whatsin

Chevereto Member
▶ Reproduction steps
  1. Update from 10 to 11
  2. Open images or albums from guest view
  3. Choose any sorting (Oldest, most viewed etc.)
😢 Unexpected result

After selecting sorting all photos from the album visually disappear and an error appears. The photos reappear after reloading the page.

📃 Error log message

I tried changing the debug levels, but no more detailed error declaration appeared. I also found nothing in the logs. Perhaps because of this https://chevereto.com/community/threads/error-logging-not-working-for-json.14469/

Try to clear your web browser cache. Also, try to flush any server side cache (including CloudFlare).

P.S. I don't think that is related to the debug experience at json. I think that it could be just cache issues.

I cleared the cache. This error also appeared on my visitors, only without disappearing photos, just a popup appeared "something went wrong". Sorry I can not check now, I rolled back to 10, because I do not know how to fix it quickly.

"something went wrong"
You need to debug.

Use beta when you feel comfortable testing and waiting until the system gets tested. You shouldn't revert the install either: 1) There's no database procedure for rolling back. 2) How I'm supposed to understand what was wrong if the context has been destroyed?

I suggest you to use beta as a different installation, not the main one. And if you encounter an issue try to don't panic. Is beta software.

No problem, I hear you. I installed the 10 update back and everything seems to be working.

Unfortunately I was unable to debug, I changed the debug levels but nothing changed. And I went through all the possible logs on the server and didn't find anything.

I found out that this error appears only for guests. The admins and users are fine.

upd: I also found out that the cause is probably the new lazy load and endless scrolling or something to do with it. Because the error appears when I scroll down the page and new photos are not loaded. I turned on classic pagination instead of endless scrolling and the error stopped appearing.
