Moving my site from sub-folder to root

Better safe than sorry

I've installed Chevereto in a subfolder "2" because my old site was still up.

Now it's time to move it to the root (I've got full acces, I'm on a VPS)

How do I do this without breaking my site and without breaking the links from thumbs (.htaccess?)?

Thanks!

It should not be problem to just place the files on root and tweak the .htaccess
I don't know what mod are you running and the problems that could be derivate from that.
