So, I've had an idea that uses image hosting functionality at the core, and would love to use your software (especially v3, when that's released) for that.

My question is how easy it is to modify the script? Is it all encoded? Any license issues with hacking around the guts of the script?

Hi, the script is not encoded and there aren't license issues doing that. The only thing to keep in mind is that you can't re-distribuite the modified files.
