Merge two installations

Hi all.

I wanted to see if anyone has done this. Here's the deal. I have two sites running 3.6.2, both sites are using S3 storage. Site G is just a funny image site that I upload to, and currently has about 10,000 images on. Site U is an image sharing site that currently has about 100 users and about 6500 images. The reason why I want to combine Site U with Site G or visa versa is Site G has is a 4 letter domain and I don't have to admin two different sites.

Thoughts?
 
You can't merge 100%, but you can keep users and absolute image urls. You will lost the image viewers (/image/<id>) for one of them. I think that the best thing is to use one install as the base and the another one just redirects to the new one.
 
Welp, I was able to do the merge because when I started the newer site I set the starting image id to 50000 so then all I had to do was import the image db from the other site and keep the s3 bucket active.
