Manually approve signups?

PRO account here, but thought I'd ask the question here first before I open a ticket & bug the admin.

I run a non-profit in the US, and we've had a problem lately with people using our services but linking them to Patreon/Ko-Fi and the like behind a paywall. This can cause us problems as a non-profit, and I don't want to run afoul of the IRS.

Is there a way to have to manually approve users before their accounts go public? I know they must provide a valid email in order to sign up, but I don't see a queue function or anything in the documentation within Settings. We need an additional step so that we don't get sideblinded by people making US$10,000+ per month off of our free non-profit services. And yes, you read that right. Six people made a combined $10,700+ per month, with one of those users making $10,050 per month.

Currently, there is no built-in functionality to manually approve user signups or place them in a pending queue before their accounts go public. You can either disable account signup and manually create the accounts, or setup an email notification on signup.

• Enable Email Notifications: You can configure your settings to notify you via email the moment a new user signs up.
• Proactive Moderation: This will allow you to review new accounts as they register and take swift action (such as suspending or restricting the account) before they can do any further damage.

Note: Relying on these immediate alerts is currently the most effective way to stay ahead of users trying to exploit your non-profit services.
