Manage categories

I'm probably overlooking something, so I'm asking the obvious. I'm looking for a way to manage already uploaded pictures to my site into categories. Is this possible trough mass actions? How would you go about doing this the easiest way possible?

We're talking about approx 900 pictures, doing them one by one is not an option

Nope, there isn't mass options for categories.

You could do it injecting the database directly.
