Make Old Photos Private

Is there a way to make photos that were transferred from an old 2.5.8 install private? I noticed that now you can make photos have different viewing options. This would be instead of making the whole site private.

You can use the system in "private" mode with the option "Private anyone with the link" and for the old images, unless you create an album and set it to private the only option that you have is affect the system wide.
