HI Florian, I've already noticed this issue and it will get fixed for the next release.

If you want to get fixed it now, simply replace this:
Code:
    // Landing fancy load
    if($("body").hasClass("landing") && $("#home-cover").css("background-image")) {
        var landing_src = $("#home-cover").css("background-image").slice(4, -1).replace(/^\"|\"$/g, "");
        function showHomeCover() {
            $("body").addClass("load");
            setTimeout(function() {
                $("body").addClass("loaded");
            }, 400 * 1.5);
        }
        if(landing_src) {
            $("<img/>").attr("src", landing_src)
                .on("load error", function() {
                    $(this).remove();
                    showHomeCover();
                });
        } else {
            showHomeCover();
        }
    }

With this:
Code:
    // Landing fancy load
    if($("body").hasClass("landing") && $("#home-cover, #maintenance-wrapper").css("background-image")) {
        var $landing_el = $(!$("#maintenance-wrapper").exists() ? "#home-cover" : "#maintenance-wrapper");
        var landing_src = $landing_el.css("background-image").slice(4, -1).replace(/^\"|\"$/g, "");

        function showHomeCover() {
            $("body").addClass("load");
            setTimeout(function() {
                $("body").addClass("loaded");
            }, 400 * 1.5);
        }
        if(landing_src) {
            $("<img/>").attr("src", landing_src)
                .on("load error", function() {
                    $(this).remove();
                    showHomeCover();
                });
        } else {
            showHomeCover();
        }
    }
