Hey guys, I'm running Chevereto Version 2.0.18, I've renamed by index.php file and managed to get it to show up without a 404 error but now when I go to upload an image I get this message:

No image has been uploaded

Could anyone tell me if I need to change anything in the files?

There is no support for nulled installations. Please buy the script or your account will be banned in few hours.

No he isn't distributing them... We are working on a site together.

Ok then you need to ask you friend to login with his client account and get support in the chevereto 2.x customers support forums (hidden sections).
