Installation issue.

Description of the issue
First time I installed the software ( a while ago on another server I had no issues it jsut worked) all went fine. Since then I have a a new server (centos 7) fresh install, with lamp and one virtual host. I wget the install package, renamed installer to installer.php and ran that from the browser.
So far so good, I select the paid for edition and paste in the licence key, it does its stuff the redirects to say
The requested URL /install was not found on this server.

I get the feeling I have done something really stupid or missed out some step as i just cannot think straight, thought I would ask in cases its a easily recognised issue and it may save me digging around for ages to figure out where I goofed up,
thanks for any help in advance.
