Install problem on Linux

I’m working through the self hosted version now on my server. DB connects great. On the /install page, I put in the parameters (admin username, email, password, personal install), and click install button. I get a blank screen. It does write this information to the db (I can see it in phpmyadmin), but closing and coming back to my base url brings me back to the install page. I can't move beyond this. Help!

Hi SirMoo,

Error logs show
failed (104: Connection reset by peer) while reading response header from upstream, client: 23.91.138.222, server: constructionphotos.mysite.com, request: "POST /install HTTP/1.1", upstream: "fastcgi://unix:/var/run/php5.6-fpm/php5.6-fpm.sock:", host: "constructionphotos.mysite.com", referrer: "http://constructionphotos.mysite.com/install"

I reboot the server, and it was able to complete the install, but then returned me again to the install page.

I installed two different instances in two different websites (on the same server), the second instance went through the whole process to completion and allowed me to click the "go to dashboard link" and proceed. The instance that I am reporting in this forum keeps returning me to the install link.

They look like NGINX errors to me. Without seeing all of the error information it's hard to tell what the actual issue is.

There is a bug on one of the versions of NGINX that causes socket issues, however, I can't remeber which version, and I can't remember the workaround for it.

How helpful am I this morning lol
