Hello fellow community,

I wanted to ask you all who run your sites on chevereto, are you having indexing issues?

Only the homepage and page /1/ etc have indexed, but the images have not. I've set them to be SEO-Friendly URLs but no change. It's been a month and I have +1000 images with unique titles and none have indexed, neither in google images.

What am I doing wrong? Perhaps I need to submit a sitemap, if so how can I create one with chevereto?

Hello @Jeison,

Chevereto v4.2 addressed some of the most urgent SEO issues, and we've seen some improvement on the demo website. However, we still lack sitemaps and feeds to make content discovery more predictable. Feeds are on my short-term roadmap, and you can expect them to be included in a release announcement in the coming months.

Thank you for your patience and for being a part of the Chevereto community!

Is there perhaps any guidance or resource you could link me to what exactly needs to be done to have it SEO-Friendly? I may hire developer to do this as my coding skills are quite poor.

Another thing that is required is descriptions for categories/tags on basically everything (I think albums are good)

Also proper navbar and footer.

In my case, it's the opposite. They index too much, so I had to manually block Google Bot using Nginx for certain types of pages (because robots.txt updates are quite slow)
I think the issue might be that your website is still new.
