However they decided to move they business from advertising based model to subscription based model. It's interesting 🙂

Funny thing is notice how they get the upload count. If you notice the XHR is being made to this URL: https://imageshack.com/rest_api/v2/stats/uploads and if you add a timestamp it shows this: https://imageshack.com/rest_api/v2/stats/uploads?date=1388545200

Both numbers are different from what the site displays anyway. They just grab a number and start a random count with delays so it seems instant count but nope. Try to leave the number alone and refresh the page you can even notice that you will travel in time and see lower numbers.
 
For sure the count isn't real. They only know approximately how many images are uploaded every second/minutes/hours and created a fake count.
