To custom add an icon I suggest you to use a png image rather than add an actual icon to icomoon.woff

.svg's always looks much better in retina displays. shouldn't be a big deal add new icons to the kit.
That just will require load the files in icomoon (icomoon.woff, icomoon.ttf, icomoon.svg, icomoon.eot) -> add the icons, logos, or whatever you want to add there -> generate the kit -> replace the actual fonts -> and replace the css codes that control those fonts from here:

of course, you have to be very careful and know exactly what you're doing, if you don't want to screw up all your icons.
