How to get around the '"BC Math support" not found' error

I have a problem because my php 5.3.3 is not compiled with --enable-bcmath on my Centos 6.3 machine.

I tried the solution ' yum install php-bcmath ' but I get this error:

"Could not retrieve mirrorlist http://nodejs.tchol.org/mirrors/nodejs-stable-el6 error was 14: PYCURL ERROR 6 - "Couldn't resolve host 'nodejs.tchol.org'"

As I don't want to recompile PHP again because it was already custom compiled before, I was wondering if this article could help me out:

Refer to your hosting admin because

yum install php-bcmath
is not guarantee to work on every setup. Some people reported thay they had to use

yum install php53u-bcmath
or even
Code: 
yum search bcmath
to search for the package name.

Once done, you will have to restart apache.
