A user signed in using google+ that want to change anything (language, newsletter, image expiry) in the Settings/Account page has to write their email address every time because it's a required field and the address is not saved.

That user doesn't have an email in the system yet or is just not populating the email input?

Just tried with my own Google login.
The email field is not being populated when I create my account using the Google+ button.
Then every time I try to change a setting on the Settings/Account page I have to write my email to be able to save the settings. Next time I go to Account / settings the email I wrote is gone...

Actually I've just tested it and I'm able to add the missing email and it gets saved. You have to take into account that the system will send a confirmation to that email address and if the confirmation email never reach the target inbox or isn't clicked then the email field will remain NULL. Once you put that email you get a message telling you to check your email inbox isn't?

In this case the thing that we need to know is if the email is being sent or not because probably the confirmation email is not being delivered and there is no catch for that error. So, besides that Social login (with no email) shouldn't mandatory ask for an email (that label this as a confirmed bug), I need to know if there is something odd in your install because maybe you are not getting the confirmation link.
