Facebook not fetching link preview for GIF images.

One of my users recently raised an issue with Facebook not fetching link preview for GIF images hosted on my site Gifyu.com

I tested and confirmed this as issue with only gif images and raised with Facebook. Hwoever their reply was "As I described above, the preview is based on og:image value of your URL. Make sure your site has the correct og:image and it will be correctly displayed."

I have no idea what facebook meant.
