Hello,

We need to implement plugin/module for the gallery :
- embedded comments functions (to replace actual external service)
- add one level to categorise picture like tags

What the best way to start development ?

System has tools for small modifications but in this case you need things that require more extensive work.

In this case you basically will need to create a fork, there are no plugin system in Chevereto.

Something that I have to mention is that native comments will be added very soon so you shouldn't consider to code that at all.
