Hi, captcha auto appears after 5 failed attempts. You can configure in your dashboard how many attempts are needed to trigger the system to ask fir recaptcha. This works for /signup, /login and contact page.

I've just noticed that if you set the recaptcha thereshould at zero the system is not showing the recaptcha for that initial load. I will patch this for 3.1.1
