Upload all the files exept config.php, defiitions.php and the images folder

Then look for the config changes since 2.3 and merge it in your config file.

Not even 2.4 is compatible with that so i doubt it.

Can you please mention the changes you have made to the CSS files? Every update I have to re-do my own changes and it's not that easy to be honest.

Get winmerge and open old css and new css and you will see the changes easy.
