Changing Database

Craig

Hey everyone,

I have a question about information in my database.

I was trying to customize the website and made a mistake when placing some code in the analytics box. My website went blank. Wasn't sure what to do so I reloaded Chevereto and connected to a new database. (probably a rookie mistake but didn't know what to do). I then tried to import my first database into my new database on server side but lost some user data. I can see a username and email, but their photos do not show up. Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance!

Craig

Usually when you import the database everything is a 1:1 copy of your data so you shouldn't lose anything but if that database already had a Chevereto website on it you just merged two datasets that aren't usable at all.

Thanks for the reply Rodolfo.

Wasnt sure what to do so I removed my website from hosting and uploaded the basic template of Chevereto and connected it to a new database. , db3, which automatically populated the tables. I then imported the original to the new one. Is there any way to fix the problem?

Thanks

I'm afraid that you will have to deal with this on your own. Next time always backup.
