Changes in license terms

The changes address the introduction of the Chevereto subscription, clarifying how the subscription limits access to the software and noting that you’re granted the right to install and use any eligible software released during or prior to your active subscription period. This is to explicitly grant the right for lifetime use for your downloaded copy of the software.

The terms now explicitly state that you can profit from providing the software to others, a right that was always granted but is now clearly outlined. Additionally, some limitations have been refined to apply specifically to “the Software source code,” clarifying that these restrictions do not extend to the software as a service.

I mean honestly, I never read the license agreement but a subscription based key vs that of a lifetime one was seriously a shocker but does explain why the cost for the software was extremely low.

Back in the day, I bought the base code for essentially a myspace clone script and then modified it accordingly so it matches that of it's 2009 era. But the cost was $400 for just 1 update and the newer updates or modifications were an additional $100-250.

I think this approach you're taking is best, although kind of a shocker at first and a little disappointed but completely respected and well deserved for all the work you put into your development.

Will gladly license again in the future 🙂
