can't update settings after upgrade

i just upgraded to version 3.2.3. so far i can't add keywords. when i add them and hit save it comes back as blank. and when i try and uplaod a new watermark image i get the error message: Can't remove old watermark file

so it seems i can't change any settings now.
 
Check chv_settings, do you see the watermark_enable or website_keywords setting?
 
no i don't see those settings in that table. i uploaded all the files, then when to install.php and it said the upgrade was successful.
 
That is why the system ask to delete app/install on install or update, this kind of things happens. In the future I will have to add a validation with Chevereto server because that is the only way to actually know if the app/install files are updated. It can't rely on the local files at your server.

Open the Database in your Hosting panel via phpMyadmin, then open chv_settings, and find this:
chevereto_version_installed
then edit chevereto_version_installed (there is an Edit button)
change it into 3.2.3

Having same problem rodolfo i did as discussed but nothing happen unable to see banner rows in setting table chv_settings Please provide any other solution..
 
ok that worked changing it to 3.2.2 in the database. i did follow the upgrade procedures:

1) i uploaded all the files for the new version
2) i then when to domain.com/intsall.php and get the success message
3) i then deleted the install.php and app/install

so was i dealing with a bug? and now i'm having the logo update issue. i have dealt with a ton of scripts but have not had to deal with problems updating a logo before. normally you select a new logo file and just upload it and don't have server permission issues.

and i just want to say the script is great overall, regardless of these few issues.
 
You have to understand that when you put changes on the go is usual that old system have issues, is normal. Specially when the update procedures are not follow as expected. Chevereto 3 is indeed a "stable" product but it still need time to figure out all the universe of things that can happen. I never expected that users will skip app/install because everywhere it says "replace that". So yes, is normal to expect issues at this stage of the script. Indeed Chevereto has a lot of years of development but V3 was released just two months ago.

V2 faced the same issues but since 2.5.9 issues went down almost to zero. That is because you need to test and try.
