Bug - Cannot change the theme to dark mode

▶ Reproduction steps
  1. change theme mode from light mode to dark mode
  2. click save
  3. nothing happens but says it's in dark mode but is not
😢 Unexpected result

no error is appearing for it. it's still showing its saved as dark mode, but nothing thing has happened

📃 Error log message

there is no error code listed in error logs at all

PHP Warning: realpath(): open_basedir restriction in effect. File(/var/lib/php/sessions) is not within the allowed path

🔒 Not a bug. Translation: The system can't write to sessions. Mind checking the filesystem permission requirements on the docs.
