Your download doesn't have that code quoted like that. Try re-uploading the whole theme folder.

Yeah, most likely you did. It works if I choose another language. Try with Spanish and you will see that it works.
I renamed the language file folder, and re-uploaded it, still doesn't work
and change to another language does fix the problem, can you attach your EN language file here so I can replace it?

Sorry, I just removed the whole app/content/languages/cache/ folder, so en.po.cache.php is gone too.
and I did remove+re-upload /app/lib and /lib
seems the issue is still there.

One thing I think I need to let you know, that I updated from 3.6.0 directly to 3.6.4 by uploading all the files extracted from 3.6.4 package, do you think this would break the code?

Must be a weird issue with the cache file. I must request you FTP access to check your system.

I can confirm that is a bug in the G\Gettext class that you only can notice when you use English + no language cache. I've already fixed it in your website and I've added to the feature list of v3.6.5. Most likely no one else is having this issue because the language cache is working in those installations.

Note: Every installation should run with language caches, so app/content/languages/cache must have writing permission try to avoid CHMOD here and use server permissions.
