Amazon EC2 micro, is it enough?

HELLO,

I have an ecommerce site (magento) running on EC2 (nginx + fpm + apc) and using Chevereto as the image manager.

Recently, I've been thinking of offloading chevereto to another server. And was wondering if an EC2 Micro will fare well, to serve images.

Any comments?

It will all depend on the load that your site will get. What are the specs of a EC2 Micro?

Visits/day
Unique visits/day
Bandwitdh/day
Total images hosted

With specs google told me, you wouldn't get very far.

Buy a $20/m VPS. lol.

That is crucial to handle massive file uploads. I don't know what is the amazon standard for low.

It's likely to be 5-10MBps uplink.

Very High is 10GBps.
