Ads on the viewer page

Hello community.
I know how to add the ads on the footer and header on the homepage. That's easy as copy and paste.
Well, how to post ads on the Hotlink images? I mean, after clicking the thumb, the users are put to my site for the original image, how to add ads on to that page?
There has to be a default page which generates all the original images on the thumbs right? What is it?
 
Adding them on view.php and/or shorturl.php or you want to add it on the file.jpg?

The only way is serving this files using PHP but that will mean that your server will get a HUGE load. And when I say HUGE I mean that you will mostly burn the CPU or something like that.
