- Allow the user to edit the image before upload, whether it be resize, text, draw etc. You can use Aviory's free SDK to do it (https://developers.aviary.com/docs/web)
- Allow users to follow others, once followed, you can go to your dashboard, see your latest uploaded images and images from followers. Order by newest upload. With the options to comment on those photos without having to go to the picture.
- Create your own comment box. Don't use a 3rd party's. This way, on a users profile you can see their comments (unless they have show comments set to private)
- Allow users to vote the picture up or down (similar to imgur) then we could have links for lowest voted pictures and highest voted pictures. Same with the comments, allow them to be voted up. Like youtube, most voted at the top
