Tell me please, when I install a site I had a bug in the lack of access to folders "images" and "content".
Rights they had 755, When I changed to 777 - all ok. Now you need to set permissions to 755 again, or these two folders should always be 777.

You should not base the system permissions in explicit folder permissions because that is not safe, not only for Chevereto but for any system out there. You should use group permissions based on the user who runs Apache/Nginx.
