[2.4.1] IE8 issues

It has been reported that IE8 is failing on 2.4.1 in JavaScript and CSS.

The problem with the CSS is a missing rule and in the JS the error is the in-existence of the console object in this browser.

Please check the [2.4.1] IE8 issues hotfix. This fix will be included on 2.4.2
