Website hacked, How to fix?

🎯Description of the issue

I've not checked my website in a few months because normally its fine because Chevereto is awesome, granted i'm using the free version but still. There is lots of random files with random names in my main file structure as well as in all the folders. The website also does not load.

I want to start a fresh install and keep all my images as that should get rid of the hack right? I tried uploading the installer.php but it says the database already exists and for me to delete it? How do i fix this?

▶🚶‍Reproduction steps
  1. [Example: Go to Dashboard > Settings > Uploads and enable guest uploads]
  2. [Example: Try to upload the attached image as a guest]

EDIT: I deleted all the files on my domain apart from the /images/ folder and downloaded this :

I changed the password on my MySQL database to be safe and installed it again and it has kept all my images.

There does appear to be a difference in the folders structure though? i don't see the CSS, source, themes folder i used to have in the main path?
