Can there been any such make it on the main page a statistic with purely makes how many images uploaded and Today
Have a picture taken as I imagine it

With the current database you can achieve what you need using the CHV\DB class. However, since there aren't counters all the stats will be calculated on the fly which could cause server issues. However, in the next version there will be a daily stats tracker (database) so get any stat at any given date range will be a walk in the park. I suggest you to wait for v3.7.0 before trying to do this using COUNT(*) or SUM.
