Add a new storage mode, enabling to "sync" to an existing media folder-based structure, which won't copy the files, just sync. Also define "import" mode which will keep the classic import behavior.
Where did you see this?
Most systems import content (like Chevereto) but a big chunk of users want exactly the opposite for reasons. For example, if your collection is too big the problem is that you will require twice the storage for the imported copy. You will also need to use Chevereto for managing your library, locking you in.
